What to Wear: Sheer Delights

Although it has been making an appearance for seasons now, the catwalks have never been as dominated by sheer pieces as at the SS12 shows. One part provocative, one part ultra sophisticated - I adore sheer garments.
I find one of the easiest ways to tap into the sheer look, is with semi-sheer top. This pussy-bowed beauty from French Connection (£57) is ideal. I love to toughen up a soft, pretty look (sheer AND bows?!) with an edgy look - any skinny leather or leather effect trousers contrast so well against the white chiffon, I love these Helmut Lang rinsed leather skinny trousers (£400). The shoes, the shoes, the shoes. Oscar De La Renta Marlene Leather Pumps (£615) don't come cheap, but from the pointed toes to the monochome colouring, are perfect for this look. I'm fortunate enough to have my very own Mulberry Taylor Satchel and one of my favourite ways to wear it is with shiny leather, the brushed leather contrasts so beautifully.

Can Johnathan Saunders do no wrong? This impeccably cut Farah dress from his Cruise '12 collection (£1,310) combined with the sexy, sheer decolletage makes for an timeless and classic piece. It also allows for abit of fun to be had as far as accessories are concered - cue the Nicholas Kirkwoods! The cut out mask monochrome style (£660) are my current favourite dramatic shoe. Tough compeition, I assure you. Finished off with the much favoured Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Satin Knot Clutch (£890) the sophisticated look is complete... If you can fit all of your night-out accessories into the tiny thing!
Palazzo style chiffon trousers are so versatile & can be used for any situation, literally from boardroom to bar. This look conprises of simple, wardrobe basics every girl has - sometimes the most sylish looks are the most simple. This Rag & Bone Dart Jacket (£225) is a classic, every girl needs a white blazer. This James Perse cashmere blend vest has been reduced at Boutique 1 from £80 to £24, get yours quickly! I adore Farfetch for brands that can be difficult to pick up, I've had my eye on these Rodebjer chiffon trousers for a little while now... These beautifully simple Alexander McQueen Satin T Bar Sandals are perfect, the pricey end of understates black sandals at £490 but the curved heel is too hard to resist!

How will you beauties be wearing the sheer trend over the warm summer months?
