{a new month : march}

March is always an amazing month for me, not only is it the real start of spring but the 7th marks the  anniversary of the mine and the boys first date, six months to the date we met! Somehow four years have rolled by since that first magical night at The Killers concert (yes, it really was magical..) and we always try to take a romantic little trip away for the occasion...
Last year we headed to the stunning Paris, and this year - on the sixth - we jet to Barcelona to lose our mutual virginity of the Spanish capital, any things to do/places to eat/things to see/where to drink excreta would be very helpful...

{a glamorous mix : for a not so glamorous week}

This 'bad blogger' business is only getting worse, nine posts throughout the entire of February is definitley disappointing  I can excuse myself for the last week which has been almost entirely written off due to a viral infection which has today been diagnosed as glandular fever.. lucky me!
The last week has been spent primarily in bed, on the sofa or in the doctors surgery - with a little shopping (hiya, nice new bath-time lovelies and Topshop purchases) with a little Nando's trip thrown in to try and sweat out out a fever. Glamorous, I know.

{a glamorous mix : a little romance}

Good Afternoon beauties; I'm indeed alive and well, just a little dazed and behind schedule with a pile of fun and exciting things that've been happening lately...
From London Fashion Week coverage entwined with too many pancakes and a lovely, romantic Valentines day and weekend, an incredibly entertaining and extensively filled Daily Mail app (how much crazy news can happen in a week?!) and a spur-of-the-moment haircut leaving me with a fringe you could certainly say I'm not too keen on (and trying to find ways to disguise the Farrah Fawcett qualities of it.. on tonight's agenda, manicure-monday and a session with a barrel of heated rollers..) you guys have taken somewhat of a back seat. I'm a bad blogger, and I promise that I'll try to do a little better..
Whats been happening in your worlds? By the way; I've been trying a few very exciting new beauty products out as of late so keep your peepers peeled for the unveiling of some exciting things.. rachelle xo

Fashion Inspiration: Fashion Week on the Streets of Paris

five days back in the country (and counting...) I've missed the international fashion collections just about in their entirety and I'm struggling right now to scrape together enough time to sleep in a vain attempt to cure this hellish jetlag, so please forgive me fashionistas for not yet being upto speed on the sandals at Isabel Marant in Paris, or the prints at Peter Pilotto, or which well-dressed canine worked the runway at Mulberry...
one thing I have managed, is to spend probably too much time pouring over new snaps from the streets of Paris. I get as excited about these images as I do from the runway shots, seeing how the worlds fashion elite pull together looks for this season. Please, let me get over the jet lag before thinking about next season!

At Home With: L'Wren Scott in Paris

L’Wren Scott opens the doors to the City of Light aerie she shares with Mick Jagger—a space she designed to her own exacting tastes.
Where does L’Wren nest? Somewhere high up and sequestered, with a view over treetops—when she’s in Paris, that is. This turn-of-the-century Left Bank apartment is just one of the homes the American fashion designer L’Wren Scott has put together for life with her rock-’n’-roll legend partner, Mick Jagger. And the serene, delicately airy atmosphere is about as far from glitzy rock-star louche as could be imagined.

Spotlight on: Ladurée

No rendezvous on the Champs-Elysées is complete without a stop at my favourite "fabricant de douceurs & gourmandies": Ladurée, in all its gilded grandeur.
In the early 1900s, Pierre Desfontaines, cousin of Ladurée's founder, Louis Ernest Ladurée, took two almond meringue cookies and joined them with a divine ganache filling - creating the macaron as we know it. Prior to that, macarons were simply cookies, first brought to France in 1533.

The Rachelle Edit: Zadig & Voltaire

I want to be Erin Wasson in the Zadig & Voltaire SS12 campaign. Lounging around my beautiful French Chatueux in my leather hotpants and sheer snakeskin printed chiffon dresses... Zadig & Volitare are alongside The Kooples to top my "Ultimate Favoutite Uber-Cool French Labels" list (yes, there is one). Everything is achingly cool and stylish, yet so incredibly beautiful and effotless to wear.
When in Paris, I always make a trip to the beautiful Montaigne boutique which stocks just about the entire latest collection. Fear not if there are no Eurostar trips booked over the four-day-weekend, you can shop at twelve London locations, or online. I've put together my favourite pieces from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection which are all currently topping my wishlist.
