So its January, its minus two outside, and bleaching down with snow. Nothing seems more appealing tonight than to curl up in front of the fire with my current read (The Perks of being a Wallflower, should you care) with only the pooch and a Thai take out for company. May even indulge in a glass of bubbles in a bubble bath, simply because I bloody can - and there has been a bottle calling my name for too long from the fridge. 

Something has to cheer up dull January nights, right? Its either that or I attempt solo sledging... 

Two Lovely Things: Golden Lights

Fear not lovelies, I am still alive and well; just crazily busy with all of Decembers festivities and fun - Christmas shopping is now just about done, tonight I'm going to wrestle with a mountain of wrapping paper and piles of presents to stuff under the Christmas tree.. I should be accompanied by a large glass of mulled wine but I'm unfortunately still sporting a heavy head after indulging in one too many gins last night with some of my favourite ladies.. After spending yesterday morning fashion-girl-lusting over the chic ensembles from Tuesday evenings Cosmo Woman of the Year Awards, my personal 'favourite look of the event award' went to the not-always-winning Kelly Osbourne. Her sleek lilac hair coordinated beautifully with her silk pastel dress, leaving me sighing over the gentle hue. Fast-forward twenty-four hours and I'm still obsessing over the shade in delicate flowers and the amazing lilac wash on Cara Delevinge's hair. Why, why wasnt I born into her body? rachelle xo

Two Beautiful Things: Monochrome Perfection

After a heavy weekend living by my typical 'work hard, play harder' mantra, this Monday is a killer. Three late nights, far too much alcohol and drunken takeaway consumption paired with 7am starts have left me a walking disaster. 

Monochrome in the very best form, Prada and Celine, are helping to refresh my heavy head and get me through the million cups of green tea and fresh fruit I must chew my way through today. That, and wearing a very dark pair of Ray Bans in the office. rachel xo

Two Beautiful Things: Monday Morning Coffee

Is there any better way to start the working week than with a large French press full of hot, strong coffee? My breakfast, however, was more of a rushed bowl of Special K rather than my favourite home made cranberry granola...

After the luxurious quiteness and rest of the weekend my blackberry is already buzzing with phonecalls, meeting arrangements, emails - yet this morning its accompanied by the (literally) buzzing security alarm in my office which has given up the ghost over the weekend and is sounding every two minutes. I await the alarm contractor with a pounding headache.
