Five Favourites: Jubilee Beauty Buys

I have been struck, once again, by royal fever. I've admitted before that I've fallen in love with the modern royals and in the run up to the Queens diamond jubilee I'm feeling rather patriotic! Being beauty obsessed, the first British themed merchandise to creep onto my radar is the; Union Jack, London Bus, Crown Jewels & Famous Landmark emblazoned limited edition beauty products.
Okay - I've tried a million and two better lipbalms than the original Chapstick (introduced into my beauty regime circa 1993...) but the packaging of this special edition is too cute to reisit. Especially for a moderate £1.22!
Cath Kidston Royal Patch Washbag £28.00 - I've a few Cath Kidston wash bags, in beautiful floral prints, convenient hardwearing fabrics & clever pockets they're ideal for short trips.
The highly acclaimed Lancome Genefique is to be released in a limited edition bottle exclusive to Selfridges from the 31st May, £95.
I probably swap my handwash/handcream combo more often than I change my nickers. There are so many lovely products available in equally lovely packaging available to be showcased at my sinks, I find it hard to commit to one for too long! Over the Jubilee period I'll definetley be trying out the limited edition Neal's Yard Remedied Garden Mint & Bergamont handcare.
I'm still a Steamcream virgin, but now even more enticed to try by this cute red London Bus emblazoned tin! If you've tried it let me know your thoughts for a dry skinned/occasionally oily t-zoned lady, pretty please!

Are you a sucker for pretty Limited Edition products too?

Spotlight On: The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge

During a holiday to Kenya with a group of friends, Prince William took his opportunity to propose to his girlriend of seven years, Kate Middleton. On the 29th March 2011, with the world watching, they wed.
Its hard to believe, with every detail still fresh in our minds (from the exquisite English & French chantilly lace gown to the stunning eight-tiered wedding cake), that a year has passed and the couple are now celebrating their first anniversary.
"When i first met Kate I knew there was something very special about her. I knew that there was a good possibility that I wanted to explore there. We ended up being friends for a while and that was just sort of a good foundation. Becuase I do generally believe now that being friends with eachother is a massive advantage. And it just went from there!"
A friendship which had spanned almost a decade, has formed the basis for the marriage of arguably, the most famous couple in the world. I must admit, I have fallen massively for the newly weds and adore the new face of the Royal Family.
