Last Spring, Aerin Lauder announced the creation of her new home furnishing and fashion line, AERIN. Junior Lauder, who is currently the creative executive and taste maker at her grandparents business hopes to bring the family flair for colourful designs by the means of tableware,
fabric, housewares, and jewellery. Much of which will be inspired by pieces
owned and collected by Aerin's grandmother, Estée Lauder. Though
the collection is not set to launch until this
Autumn, if they are inspired by the Aerin headquaters – its bound to be something
to get very excited about!
Aerins office,
featured in this month's issue of Architectural Digest, packs a colourful
punch. "Estée always loved colour - living with it, wearing it,
entertaining with it--so I've never been afraid of it. I've always
embraced it," says Aerin in the AD
feature. Aerin has layered the former art gallery with colours
and textures to make it look very personal and
inviting. The main room, anchored in neutral sea-grass
carpeting and filled with a mix of modern and classic furniture, feels
more like a private residence than an office.
To me - surrounding my workspace with beautiful things that make me happy is so important, its incredible what a bunch of fresh flowers and some daylight can do when tapping at a keyboard all day. If I had Aerins office, I'd probably want to spend more time at work than home...
What makes you happy in your workspace?
