The SS12 Valentino show was a collection of dresses boasting hand-painted floral prints, each more one more gorgeous than the previous, so a charming beatuty look was essential. Cue makeup pro, Pat McGrath who focuses on a simple and pretty soft palette of pink cheeks and light grey lids.
McGrath was after a ultra-feminine makeup look to compliment the paper-light & delicate creations on the catwalk. The ethereal complexion was created by buffing a light coverage of Covergirl TruBlend Liquid Foundation into the skin & creating creamy contours with Olay & Covergirl blend Simply Agless Sculpting Blush in a mixture of Royal Plum & Plush Peach. A pink toned highlighter, like Benefit High Beam was used along cheekbones, on the inner corners of the eyes and on the cupids bow for an incandescent bit of shine!
The eyes we dusted with the two outer shades of CoverGirls Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Shadow in Urban Basics - a light pewter which she dragged through the crease and a golden taupe that she brushed over the brow bone. The full, sculpted brows were created with a few precise strokes of Covergirls Brow and Eyemakers pencils. A finger-patting of CoverGirls NatureLuxe Gloss Balm in Marble imparted a sheer pink pout.
