The most fashionable destination in Florida - Miami. The white sandy beaches, all-nighter-nightlife, cool rooftop pool bars and amazing restaurants make the ideal summer holiday destination.
Pink & red is definitely a "yes", in my book - especially in Miami. The retro style Zimmerman Svannah one-piece swimsuit (£250) is the perfect mix of the two hues for these unreal Christian Louboutin wedges (£545). Too good for the pool? Trust me, with the pool bars in Miami, you wont be swimming. Cover up with a sheer Diane von Furstenberg silk blouse (£122.50) and hide those hungover peepers with even-more-retro Miu Miu glitter cat-eye sunglasses (£225). The only thing left to consider is a slick of Nars sheer lipstick in Roman Holiday (£17.50).
Ever so occasionally, okay - not so often, a little more than a bikini may be called upon for your Miami stay. Cue the tropical print Mango Hawaiian print dress (£34.99). If you're one to get chilly of an evening (even with your vodka jacket on) slip on this striped 10 Crosby Striped Jacket (which is reduced to just £79 in the sale) because, well, its Miami and if you cant clash prints and colours with the same aplomb that you mix your drinks - you probably shouldn't be here. This Forever 21 patent mini satchel is a complete steal, and if you squint looks a little like a Celine (£9.90). Brighten up/Miami-fy the outfit with coral Jimmy Choo Letitia platforms (£750) and matching toes in Essie Coral Reef (£8.50).
Even Cath Kidston herself would tire of retro-style florals after two weeks solid, so pack a darker alternative. This deep purple Toni Praver bikini (Top £105 & Bottoms £90) looks amazing on a deep Miami tan and worn with this By Malene Birger playsuit (£225) which I simply cannot resist. This large Jil Sander Tote (was £948 reduced to £759 at Farfetch) is more than big enough to hold your towel and tanning oil from the beach to the bar. These Valentino sunglasses (£175) are expertly large & dark enough to allow complete private perversion of the beautiful Miami males playing volleyball (don't judge, we all do it). Matching toned Nars Afghan Red lipstick (£17.50) and Illamasqua nailvarnish in Vice (£13.50) are optional - simply because you're on holiday, and you can. And, of course, I seem to be continually further obsessed with deep purple...
Don't forget to find out What to Wear when travelling to your perfect holiday destination in last weeks feature.
