Holidays in Jamaica are all about sun, sea and serious relaxation. The white beaches are some of the best to be found in the Caribbean and the relaxed vibe will have you transported to another frame of mind the very second you inhale that hot balmy air.
To me, Jamaican holidays are made with couples in mind and there are a ton of beautiful romantic beach side hotels ready to cater for you and your beau in every possible way. The high-fashion-girl-holiday outfits can take a back seat here and wear exactly what your comfortable in, not forgetting those sexy numbers to make your stay that much more special.
There's nowehere like the Caribbean to top up your tan. And theres no time like when you're resembling a stick of mahogany to wear bright coral. Or gold. Or both together. Take advantage of the massive UV12 rating and bake in this coral Toni Praver Ruffled Bikini (Top £105 & Bottoms £90) teamed with all the gold accessories you can lay your hands on. This Yves Saint Laurent Arty Ring (£180) and Kenneth Jay Lane Bracelets (£105) look amazing on bronzed arms. Who can resist these Yves Saint Laurent Wedges, especially when theyre discounted from £805 to £362?... Aviators are perfect not just for holidays, but for terrace drinks on sunny London afternoons and I swear you'll wear them for years - I've had my Ray Ban pair for about four years. The lenses on these Victoria Beckham Shades are amazing (£495).
If you arent keen on brights, or colours at all for that matter, there are endless amounts black, white & neutral coloured swimwear available this season. This crocheted Lisa Maree One-Piece (£155) looks as striking when lounging on the beach as it does when teamed with this New Look Maxi Skirt (£14.99) for evening drinks. Team it with 'you' accessories you already have stacks of - for me, gold jewellery is always a winner. Especially when it incorporates a skull. This Alexander McQueen Bracelet (£195) goes with anything, as do these Topshop Earrings I picked up for about a fiver. The Zara Heels and a black fringed bag (like this DSQUARED2 beauty £1059) are some of my wardrobe staples that work from the office - to a night out - to Caribbean shores.
With a dress as bright and striking as this Tibi Printed Crepe number (£470), keep accessories to a minimum. These Zara Sandals (£49.99) may be too bright for some more classic ladies - yet I think they suit the dress perfectly. Keep the the rest simple with this something like this sleek Jimmy Choo Patent Leather Clutch (£595) and neat black nails (I love the Ciate Paint Pots (£10) and a nude lipstick, my current favourite nude is Nars Sheer Lipstick in Belle De Jour (£17.50). A sexy set of Damaris Underwear (£92 for the set) will keep you feeling as gorgeous without the dress as you will in it, and what did I say about the romantic holiday?...
Rachel x
