Its happened again; blink and a whole year passes by before you know it. Two thousand and twelve was the best year of my life in many ways, and I only plan on making the year ahead even better.
I'm not keen on sticking to strict 'resolutions' as such; lose a stone, join a gym, drink more water... but, I do like to set a few little ambitions each year to look to - if I dont make it then I'll simply strive again the next year. These things arent supposed to be easy!

Travelling is a huge passion of mine, I feel there are so many exciting places on the planet to visit and beautiful things to see and experience. Last year I was fortunate enough to travel to three new countries with the boy and I hope to have the pleasure of doing so again in 2013; a short version of the shortlist would include; the Maldives New York, Vegas, LA, Miami or anywhere in between (I'm craving a big slice of America around my 21st!), Italy, the Carribean, Maurituis, Dubai, Bora Bora or some other South Pacific beauty.. the list really is endless..

I could certainly be described as useless in the kitchen, all of the recipes featured on Rachelle are the very simplest of recipes, but I'm going to make an effort to take the time to make dinner for the boy (who luckily for my health, is a chef) and at least one a month serve up some delicious sweet treat. I'm thinking some slutty brownies are on Januarys agenda.

I'm a highly organised person and during 2012 I applied that in a big way to my finances, everything is itemised and accounted for so I can see what gets wasted on what. Anal, definetley. Sensible, absoloutley. This will continue alongside my little savings account which is growning by the month (to fund all of the fabulous travelling..) and I'm going to limit my spending my setting a monthly limit on the likes of clothes, makeup, skincare - boring but I'm certain it'll be worth it! I'd much prefer to save and splurge on something high quality I've lusted after for a long time; I'm thinking Louboutins, a Chanel handbag, Louis Vuitton travel bag and passport cover; this is another list that really could go on!

By no means am I on a diet but I'd like to streamline my eating throughout most of the year to healthy-ish homemade, fresh and non-processed food that I'm confident about the origin of! I'm far too addicted to macarons, chocolate truffles, the occasional hungover takeaway and way too many meals out with an unhealthy amount of gin, wine and cocktails thrown into the mix to realistically cut any crap from my diet - but I need to stick at looking after myself most of the time, and keep a bikini ready body for any impromptu trip!

Cheesey, perhaps - but without my boy, friends and family nothing else would matter and I need to remind them of that and ensure no one gets neglected! Its easy to let a few weeks slip by without contact from an old friend, go too long without reminding your family how much you love them or lose the time to organise something special for you and your partner - but this wont happen to me this year because I love them all too much!
"A goal without planning is simply a dream."
So there we have it, something a little more lengthily and personal than you're usual Rachelle post, but I'm too excited about this year ahead and thought I'd share some little goals of mine. Do you have any New Years resolutions? rachelle xo
