{beauty icon : elizabeth taylor}

There was absoloutley nothing subtle about Elizabeth Taylor's beauty; ample cleavage, deep tan, huge violet eyes - and her fashion sense was just a bold. 
The 1940s and 1950s were undoubtedly her heyday, many of Elizabeth's favourite outfits are still celebrated and reinvented today; plunging necklines, bejewelled dressed, clinched waists, beautiful fur jackets and of course - diamonds galore.
Even more so than Elizabeths fashion influence, & similarly to Audrey Hepburn, her makeup is still entirely relavant seventy years on. A thick, defined brow, creamy complexion and plump berry lip are all still very the height of style and tend to be included within Rachelle beauty posts...

    she really was a beauty icon.
    i watched a programme recently about her jewellery and it was mesmerising. she owned some of the largest flawless cut diamonds in the world and THE largest teardrop shaped pearl in the world which had previously been owned by Mary I of england. insanity!

    such a beauty.
